Do you remember your first middle school dance? The getting ready in the middle of the day, because you were so excited, the countdown for weeks waiting for the big day to arrive. Maybe you don’t remember the getting ready, the fact that you only danced to the songs you knew, or that you and your group of friends stood on the side of the gym floor and talked and laughed for an hour. Your parents remember it differently and when you have children, you will remember it differently too.
Last night was our middle child’s first middle school dance. Not only is she our middle child, she is our only daughter. Our little girl. She and a couple friends made plans to go to their first dance together - leave no one behind! After picking up the girls before the dance, we went to Pocket Park in Monticello so we could capture a few moments and make time stand still.
Days like this are why we do what we do - to remember the emotions of the moment. You may remember the moment in a memory, but it is not until you see the moment forever frozen in time through a photograph and you are taken back to that moment, that memory and that emotional state of happiness and fun.
We want to capture that for you during your senior photos, for your family, on your engagement day and wedding day and everything that comes between and after.
