Most people who live in or around Monticello, Iowa or Eastern Iowa have heard of Camp Courageous. I grew up hearing about the camp when I lived in Durant, Iowa through the radio station, WMT 600AM and the Leo Greco hour on Sunday mornings. Now that we live about a mile from the camp (over the river and through the woods, if you will), we frequent the facility. At least twice a year for their Omelet and Pancake Breakfasts (April and September, respectively) with my parents (still in Durant), and for swimming lessons, swim team and a few volunteer opportunities here and there. The last Sunday in April is their annual omelet breakfast, and we make sure to tour the camp facility, check out the animals, the train robbery, the zip line and of course the music the red sill barn after our breakfast. No matter what the weather, we make it a point to go an support this great facility. Learn more about Camp Courageous and the services offered through their website, and see how you can help.
This is a tradition for us and we hope you will consider adding a donation to the Camp in your future. Enjoy the photos from our morning fun!
